Welcome to the official website of the Catholic Society here at Portsmouth University
We are a community of students at the University of Portsmouth, with members from many different degree courses and nationalities who have come together in a community of faith in order to be active with our faith whilst living as Catholic students in a modern 21st Century environment.
To be Catholic is to belong to a "Universal" family that goes back to the time of the Apostles.
We come together every Thursday evening and also at St John’s cathedral on a weekly basis. So join us on Sundays for 12pm Mass at St John's Catholic Cathedral, Edinburgh Road, Portsmouth (not far from Portsmouth & Southsea station).
We also have contacts with lots of other University Catholic Societies around the country which provides a good opportunity to get around, make new friends, and meet like minded people who are of the same faith.
If you’re a Catholic student in Portsmouth, a lapsed Catholic wanting to return to the faith or are someone who isn't Catholic but interested in learning more about the Catholicism then please feel free to get in touch you will be most welcome.
